My Wireless Siren is not working. What should I do?

The Total Security system is compatible with several different styles of wireless sirens, shown here.

If any of the wireless sirens are not working correctly or not sounding when the alarm is triggered, these troubleshooting steps can help resolve the issue.

 

Check Power

Double-check that the siren is connected to the wall power, and that the power adapter (if applicable) is not loose. If you have multiple sirens with the same type of power adapter, also test the siren in question with a known working power adapter.

If the siren has a power switch, ensure that the switch is in the "ON" position.

Also test the siren using a known working wall outlet.

 

Check Placement Of Siren

Ensure that the siren is within range of the main panel (150 feet), and that the area is free of any obstructing objects or interfering signals.

Check for large metal objects, devices that may transmit EM fields, and etc.

Also try testing the siren while it is sitting next to the mail panel directly.

 

Reprogram The Siren

Reprorgram the siren in question to confirm its pairing with the main panel. Programming instructions for the sirens can be found here.
